Afinia and UP! 3D printers have a high filament melt point temperature on the extruder nozzle. This is approximately 260 degrees C. Third party filament generally has a lower melt point.
This enhancement to the Afinia and UP! 3D Printers reduces the nozzle temperature approximately 30 degrees C.
- Easily installs in extruder cover.
- Non-invasive in-line connection.
- Installs in less than 2 minutes – snaps into extruder cover.
- Switches between A for Afinia/UP! and O for Octave or other filament.
- Allows easier raft removal.
This modification is neither approved nor disapproved by the Afinia and UP! manufacturers. We need to advise customers that this may affect your warranty if the manufacturer receives a printer for repair with the modification installed or becomes aware that it is being used. However the temperature switch can be removed in less than a minute.
