Unlike other inkjet technologies the print engine utilises a static print head which covers the entire width of the print. This print head remains stationary as the media is fed below it at high speed (up to 12 inches / 300mm per second!). This results in amazing throughput speeds at vary impressive print resolutions up to 1600dpi. The Afinia L-801 is further complimented by the use of large 250ml ink tanks which are great value for money. This means that unlike many other inkjet label printers the Afinia L-801 isn't expensive to run with cost per label matching the likes of traditional thermal transfer printers.
