Lightscribe is a new technology that will allow the user to create a permanent label on the top (label side) of the CD or DVD without the use of messy inks or sticky labels. LightScribe-equipped drives allow the same laser that burns the data onto the disc to also burn text and graphics onto the other (label) side of the same disc.
